LAST SURVIVORS is a new publication by Lamarche, dedicated to the earliest traces of New York namewriting he discovered beneath layers of paper on advertising panels in the city's subway stations. Many of these panels appear never to have been cleaned, but simply covered over the years with new advertising posters, thus preserving writings from 50 years ago or even more. Between 2015 and 2025, Lamarche systematically visited these hidden treasures, unearthing unique testimonies of a bygone era.

Greg Lamarche, known in the graffiti scene as SP.ONE, is an internationally renowned New York writer who began painting in 1981. In the 90s, he started publishing the famous magazine SKILLS, and even today, he continues to keep graffiti at the center of his life through his brilliant handstyle, his throw-ups, his top-tier pieces, and the graffiti-related works he exhibits as a contemporary artist.

LAST SURVIVORS is a new publication by Lamarche, dedicated to the earliest traces of New York namewriting he discovered beneath layers of paper on advertising panels in the city's subway stations. Many of these panels appear never to have been cleaned, but simply covered over the years with new advertising posters, thus preserving writings from 50 years ago or even more underneath. Between 2015 and 2025, Lamarche systematically visited these hidden treasures, bringing to light unique testimonies from a bygone era.

The writings from the late 60s and early 70s include famous and lesser-known names, political and religious messages, as well as romantic inscriptions made with spray paint, markers, and, in some cases, apparently even oil pastels. LAST SURVIVORS opens with an introduction by Greg Lamarche and also includes a detailed index with exact locations, allowing readers to trace the work of legendary writers such as FDT56, FRANK207, JEC, LA-ZAR, LEE163D, LSD-OM, MICO, SJK171, STAYHIGH149, TABU1, TRACY168 and VINNY*.
