From Sketch To Piece

The expression "Fra Skitse Til Piece" (in English "From Sketch To Piece"), which gives this book its title, speaks for itself!

A full 184 pages showcasing more than 100 different pieces and their original sketches or drafts. The book contains a mix of walls and trains painted by some of the most famous Danish graffiti writers, for example: Sabe, Week, Homo, Mere, Opel, Boner, DUA Boys, Dmote, HM Crew, Lex, Trab, THE Crew, Thek, Husk Mit Navn, Sketch and Money.

The purpose of the book is to show sketches and pieces side-by-side and the diversity of artistic talent found in the world of graffiti. Some writers follow the sketch to the letter, others create it at home, and some memorize it so as not to carry any evidence with them when painting illegally. Still others go freestyle while painting and follow their lines very loosely.

The book presents countless universes and interpretations of sketches and pieces to dive into and get lost in. All together, however, they shout a clear message: there is nothing right or wrong in graffiti; the most important thing is the created piece that has been gifted to the world.
