DAIM Retrospective - 35 Years Of Graffiti Art is the catalog of the exhibition of the same name held at WAI (Woods Art Institute in Wentorf), near Hamburg in May 2024. This is the most comprehensive exhibition ever held on the works of Mirko Reisser, also known as DAIM. With over 80 original works on display in a 1,800 square meter space, the exhibition traces Reisser's journey from young writer to internationally renowned artist.

"After secretly painting the word "RIGHT" on an electrical box with his friends in the summer of 1989, Reisser continued to develop his personal graffiti style over the years. He tenaciously writes his pseudonym DAIM on canvases, in exhibition spaces, and on building facades – even creating the tallest mural in the world in Calgary, Canada, in 2022. In this process, Reisser transforms his pseudonym into complex structures and gives the letters the illusion of corporeality. When he writes the name DAIM today, on the one hand, he follows the model of the letters. On the other hand, he deconstructs and reconstructs them until it is almost impossible to recognize the shapes as letters. This is how Mirko Reisser explores the boundaries between flat surface and spatiality, between typography and architecture, between legibility and abstraction."
