With Blackbook 04 - Eksit, the series of publications by the team behind one of the world's largest graffiti blogs, ILOVEGRAFFITI, continues. After years of documenting, researching, producing, and promoting graffiti subculture, they decided to return to their roots: the writer's blackbook. In the pre-Internet era of analog photography, the blackbook held a unique status. It often contained the writer's best works, sketches, drawings from friends, or tags from heroes: a private portfolio.
For the fourth volume in the ongoing series, Düsseldorf-based EKSIT is in the spotlight. After over 30 years of activity on local, national, and international railway systems, it was time to give him more attention, as he is one of those guys you always encounter here and there and who has never truly left. From his early days in the early 90s as CHAK or CHUKIE to missions in the tunnels of Paris or adventures in Berlin, the hardcover volume finally invites us to see the full picture and get an idea of EKSIT's immense output.
