About Pongo:

PONGO is an Italian artist born in the 1980s, when he discovered street art during a stay in New York. After graduating from art school, he dedicated himself to urban graffiti, signing himself with the pseudonym PONGO and establishing himself as a Wildstyler, specializing in graffiti on trains, subways, and suburban walls. Active internationally, he works between Milan and New York, where he comes into contact with historic graffiti groups such as TNB and TAT, pioneers of New York graffiti.

In 2000, after years of working as a street artist, he evolved his art and turned to canvas painting, integrating a 3D aesthetic inspired by 1950s films with blue and red glasses. Thus was born PONGO 3D, a new conceptual phase that combines manual painting and three-dimensional illusion.

His visually captivating works conceal profound reflections on environmental and social issues, including the fragility of the ecosystem and the freedom obscured by conformism, also drawing inspiration from the cinema of Luis Buñuel.

To date, he has collaborated with major international brands such as Nike, Etro, Dr. Martens, Roger Dubuis, and institutions such as the Design Museum in Milan, establishing himself as a leading figure in the urban and contemporary art scene.
